Douglas Driver

Douglas Driver is the Managing Director and Interim CFO at SCALE Finance.

Doug is a skilled finance executive with demonstrated success implementing financial management strategies to support strategic growth. He has diverse expertise and finance experience across banking, healthcare, technology, and commercial lending.  Most recently, Doug served as the President of Arbutus Services, a fractional CFO consulting firm.

Doug was retained as the CFO of Compass Surgical Partners, a nationally recognized equity-based manager of ASCs, after successfully implementing process improvements during a temporary engagement.  In this role, he oversaw portfolio revenue growth from $37M to $90M and executed effective financial management strategies leading to the acquisition of 15 ambulatory surgery centers.  He was also responsible for restructuring the finance team and leading the company’s strategic response to government-mandated shutdowns during COVID-19.

Previously, Doug served as the CFO and VP, Corporate Development at I-Cubed, a product lifecycle management software and IT consulting company.  He developed and executed a plan to expand their real estate footprint by 80% over two years and ultimately executed a sale of the majority of the firm to a publicly-traded international company.  Doug also held the roles of VP, Principal Relationship Manager and VP, Risk Manager at Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia).

Doug graduated with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is a certified Scrum Master and active in several community services organizations including Marbles Kids Museum where he served as a Board member for six years and continues to serve on the finance committee.
